Modern warfare 2

hi guys i just wanted to tell you about call of duty Modern Warfare 2

I for one cannot wait to get my hands on what looks to be another amazing game by infinity ward. The new features such as customized killstreaks looks absolutely immense.
The graphics are looking alot better than that of the previous titles and alot of work has obviously been done to these. The maps shown in the previews have looked pretty immersive and thrilling to play in and the explosions look as if alot of work has been put into them. The enviromental effects like the shattering glass on buildings looks like they are going to be creating a pretty immersive game. Different types of environments such as snowy peaks and shanty towns makes me feel as though alot more work has been put into creating varied maps. Which will hopefully feature the use of different tactics for each. Such as sniping for larger maps or close combat for smaller maps.
The gameplay as well looks as if its just building on the previous successes of Call of duty 4 and World at war and with the new features being added such as vehicles which i think will only add to the gameplay experience .
The new weapons look pretty varied and features such as being the gunner of the AC130 look like they are going to bring alot to the table. Talking to my friends about the game some stated the could not wait for it but some were dubious about the similarities between MW2 and CoD4 they stated that the guns in CoD4 were to similar and this made for very bland gameplay. I myself agree with this and as a result you will usually find me playing WaW instead of CoD4. If this really is a clone of CoD4 will it see as much success as the previous titles or will it slump? With the reputation built around the series I don't think it is possible that this game could flop as i feel many people will be buying the game for the sake of buying the game.

One thing that i felt detracted from the gameplay in WaW was the fact that every 3 weeks it seemed new map packs were being brought out. But the quality of these map packs in my mind did not really warrant the £8 price tag slapped on them by the developers. I believe that IW might be tempted to hold back maps for after the release to sell as map packs just so that they can suck more money out of us.
